I think for me it all starts with my loving and supportive wife Lucy! She has stood by my side allowing me to do the job I love with so much sacrifice.
I truly love my job. It did take a lot of hard work and dedication but well worth all of the efforts.
I started my maritime career in 2003 working on cruise ships as a way to travel and save some money to pay off my student loans. In 2006 after three years on cruise ships, I decided to make the transition into yachting at the ripe age of 30. I was very fotunate to work with some great captains who have helped forge the drive that I needed to push me to new heights in the industry.
Along the way I’ve worked on several high profile charter yachts which has certainly helped me with managing a successful charter crew and program. It truly is all about the crew. My success as a captain comes from the great people that I’ve worked with. I’ve been very lucky to work with some of the best in the industry. It feels like yesterday walking on the stage with my team at the 2018 ACREW awards to accept the best charter yacht crew award. I’m very proud of the teams I’ve worked with and all of our accomplishments. They continue to grow and excel in the industry we all love.
I’m very blessed to be working with a great family and team exploring a new part of the world close to home.
