Pastoral Care onboard is defined as the commitment to, and active demonstration of, concern for the growth and wellbeing of each crew member. A key component of this is the financial wellbeing of the crew member. With this in mind, United Advisers Marine conducted a survey with Superyacht crew from all departments to explore how their needs are met and where they believe there can be improvements. Dan Ward and Elliot Krauze will share the survey results, alongside his experience of working with crew, with our group of Captain guests. He will discuss what lessons can be learned and what the future role of Captains may be with regards to Pastoral Care.
