Access to medical support and advice when at sea is invaluable for the safety of crew and guests. The more remote a yacht is, the more important it is that the skills, knowledge and technology are on board. Grace from RDT will introduce the basics of how to help MedAire doctors determine whether the presenting medical condition or injury is serious – thus warranting medical evacuation or diversion to shore – or non-serious. We will present scenarios where decisions have to be made based on the available evidence using the latest in remote medical vital signs technology, the Tempus IC2.
