A Practical Guide to Teaching Paddle Boarding and Supervising Water Activities Safely
The paddleboard has been used extensively as a water based rescue aid, allowing a swift response with a sturdy float. In this workshop attendees are introduced to the basics of how to teach paddleboarding. How you can break the initial stages down and make the activity accessible for the least able is always the challenge for a teacher/instructor. The key coaching points and progressive drills you can use with guests will be demonstrated with lots of opportunity for personal practice. The session will also cover the basics of in water safety and supervision. Advice on how to address a group, where to position yourself, delivering appropriate safety briefings and the equipment needed will all be covered amongst many other important considerations. A must attend workshop for deck crew supervising water activities and any that wish to improve their paddleboarding skills and coaching.
