The Crew Awards have been developed to reward crew that have proven themselves to be the very best at their job. The Awards will be both a personal achievement and an industry-wide recognition of professional excellence.
The Crew Awards ceremony celebrates the 20 Crew Award winners and will take place on 12th October 2019 in Nice. This prestigious Superyacht crew event promises to be a night to remember with 500 Captains and Crew from around the globe attending. The evening will begin with a champagne reception followed by a seated three-course dinner while the Award winners are announced onstage receiving their Crew Awards trophy. After the ceremony the tables will be moved aside and the dancefloor is opened for the big Liquid Yacht Wear After Party.
During the nomination phase starting on 4th March and ending on 17th May, ACREW will receive online nominations from crew and professionals within the superyacht industry for 20 Award categories.
The voting process will follow on 24th May and based on those results, we will narrow down the candidates to the final 3 nominees per Award category.
The three finalists per category are presented to the Crew Awards judges, comprising of Captains and senior crew. To properly evaluate the finalists, video interviews and CV’s are exchanged.

Axxess Marine and Crew Awards join forces to collect funds for the Amber Foundation.
On the morning of 21st September, Axxess Marine will be holding their 3rd annual AXXESS MARINE CHARITY RIDE from Monaco to Cap Ferrat. The charity ride departs StarsNBars Monaco, with a party held upon participant return, and is open to Superyacht crew, Captains, Owners and Industry partners. The ride coincides with the Monaco Yacht Show, which begins later that same week. Cyclists of all levels are invited to take part. Crew Challenges are strongly encouraged.
All of the proceeds raised from the ride will be donated to the Amber Foundation in the UK, which seeks to help homeless and unemployed young people in crisis to gain the confidence and skills to find direction in life, employment and accommodation. Each registration for the ride includes cycling jersey, breakfast, lunch and a party post ride, as well as a day pass for the Monaco Yacht Show (value €300). Personal ride coaches and support teams guide participants throughout the route. Road bike and cycling gear rental available for participants.
Shortly after, on 12th October, the annual Crew Awards Ceremony takes place in Le Palais de la Méditerranée, Nice. The Crew Awards team have decided to use this event, attended by some 500 guests, to further complement the Axxess Marine fundraiser. To this end, we will be asking every guest if they will be willing to donate a suggested amount of €30 to support the Amber Foundation.
There will be two options for collecting donations:
- Prior to Crew Awards via https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/crewawards
- On 12th October via Credit card
After totalling what we receive through both sources, we will present the final results with a cheque to the Amber Foundation on the night of the ceremony. With so many worthy charities to choose from, you might ask why we have chosen this specific charity to support and how does it tie in with the Superyacht world? Your funds will enable a deserving young person to complete an STCW course – something that today they could possibly only dream of!
Crew Awards and Axxess Marine look forward to seeing many of you at both events, and we thank you sincerely for your anticipated support!
Unmask your dancing skills at the Crew Awards After Party
Let loose after the Crew Awards Ceremony by joining us on the dance floor for the Liquid Yacht Wear sponsored After Party. This year’s party promises to be even more fun than last year’s, as the theme is Ball Masqué. So grab your masks and prepare to get ready for a night of fun “incognito”!
Crew Awards have decided to add a little intrigue to this years Crew Awards Ceremony by asking you all to come along with a mask of your choice to join us for our Bal Masqué.
As with last year, the dress code will be black tie and evening dress, but we would love to see you complementing this by wearing a Venetian, Mardi Gras or other type of mask to add to the fun. Don’t worry though, you won’t be obliged to wear your mask during the entire evening; we expect many of you will want to unmask yourselves and your dancing skills after dinner on the dance floor!
