The Island Global Yachting (IGY Marinas) has partnered with Savannah Harbor Partners LLC to develop a new marina in the heart of Savannah, Georgia, by the spring of 2025, as OnboardOnline reported in their recent article. Once completed, the IGY Savannah Harbour Marina will encompass 100 berths, accommodating all types of vessels, with the inclusion of deep draft superyachts.
With its prime location on Hutchinson Island, the marina offers easy access to the city centre, the Savannah Historic District and the Savannah River, making it a perfect stopover for both cruisers and transiting superyachts. The IGY Savannah Harbor Marina will be ideally positioned next to the Westin Hotel and the Savannah Convention Center, as a part of the Savannah Harbor mixed-use development. This new development will include a park, restaurants, retail shops and newly finished Emma James apartments. The Club at Savannah Harbor Golf Course and spa will be located just around the corner. Next to that, the development of a signature waterfront restaurant is planned.
Savannah, Georgia is a destination renowned for its rich history and architecture, commerce, and nautical tourism, including the Port of Savannah. The IGY Savannah Harbor Marina will provide cutting-edge facilities, such as shore power, fueling, parking, marina concierge services, and deep water berthing. The marina will boost the area’s amenities and serve as the centre point in the development.
