RDT will discuss the value in monitoring vital signs when dealing with medical incidents onboard. The workshop will include practical examples of what vital signs will tell you and medical professionals in a variety of incidents. Using live demonstrations, with the Tempus IC2 and willing participants, scenarios crew may face onboard will be recreated. For each example there will be discussion of the potential timelines and why recording vital signs is of such importance.
